Limerick Golf Club

Limerick Golf Club is located in Ballyclough, on the outskirts of Limerick City and is one of the oldest golf clubs in Ireland. The Golf club was founded in 1891, the same year as the Golfing Union of Ireland, it boasts a mature parkland course, with a number of holes designed by Dr Alister McKenzie, architect of Lahinch and Augusta National, and others by John D. Harris. With over 1300 members, Limerick Golf Club is one of the largest in the county and has a proud tradition in competitive golfing.

From 1990 to 2000, Limerick Golf Club was the home of the JP McManus Invitational Pro-Am, the biggest pro-am event of its kind in Limerick. Padraig Harrington opened the new Clubhouse in 2007 which offers magnificent views over the course.
