The largest showcase of Irish traditional Arts is set to take place in Ennis Co Clare this summer. This August the best of Irish talent will gather in Ennis to celebrate Irish music song and dance.
Fleadh Cheoil na hEireann is a gathering of musicians and dancers from Ireland and all over the world to celebrate traditional Irish song and dance.
Ennis town itself is located less than 30 minutes drive from the Maldron Hotel. The name Ennis came from the Irish word for Island "Inis". The town itself is a buzzing market town, steeped in tradition, the ideal location for Fleadh Cheoil na hEireann. The town hosts some of the oldest and most iconic buildings in Ireland along with a vibrant modern day atmosphere with unique boutiques, bar and restaurants.
Fleadh Cheoil na hEireann is the most important international event in the Irish Traditional music calendar. A gathering of dancers, singers and musicians competing for the All-Ireland Championship.
The festival however, is also a week-long event for anyone who has an interest in Irish tradition. A family festival of dance and song, with some of the world’s finest musicians and a full array of other events and activities being held throughout the week.
Ennis, the capital of Co. Clare is located less than 30 minutes from Limerick city centre.
